FROM TEULADA-MORAIRA

JAVEA/XABIA
: ( Old Quarter, Aduanas del Mar, Playa del Arenal, Cap de la Nao)
– CAP DE SAN ANTONIO – NATURPARK EL MONTGÓ.
Depart
by way of Benitachell to Javea. You can visit its old quarter (San
Bartolomé Church, Municipal Market and Town Hall), Aduanas del Mar,
or Javea harbour, where you can walk along its narrow streets, and
visit the modern Our Lady of Loreto Church, continuing along the
Arenal road by car, toward the Cap de la Nao, where you will stop
to admire a superb panoramic view. You can make your way back to
Javea, taking the “Les Planes” road toward the Cabo de San Antonio,
where there will be a rest stop before continuing along the road
that leads to Móntgo Natural Park, where you will have the chance
to walk down several different trails and enjoy the flora and fauna.

TEULADA
– GATA DE GORGOS – DENIA
Visit
to the San Vicent Ferrer Wine Cellars Co-op, where we you can taste
the famous and highly regarded Moscatel, as well as the “Marina Alta”
white wine, which has won several international awards. You can take
the train from Teulada to Gata de Gorgos, where you can visit the
guitar factory (C/ Estación 25), in addition to the basket making
shops that have their finest wares on display. You continue by train
to Denia, where, next to the station, you'll take a small train that
will bring you to the Castle, from where you can enjoy splendid views
of the city and visit its archaeological museum, before going back
down on foot or by train to the town centre, where you can stroll
along its main street, “Marqués de Campos”, or around its fishing
port. Return to Teulada by train.

TEULADA
– VERGEL – PEGO – VALL DE EBO - BENIDOLEIG
Depart
from Teulada toward Valencia on the 332 national road. Passing Vergel,
at the next intersection, you take the turn towards Pego. Stop to
visit the Vergel Safari Park. You continue on to Vall de Ebo. Visit
the “Cova del Rull”( Cave), Alcalá de la Jovada and its “Neveras”,(
snow wells). Return to Benidoleig, passing through Vall de Ebo, Pego,
Sagra, Tormos, Orba, Benidoleig visiting the calavera´s Cave (of the
Skulls). Return to Teulada via the 332 national road.

TEULADA
- CALLOSA DE ENSARRIA - GUADALEST- POLOP
Depart
from Teulada toward Alicante along the 332 national road. Before
Altea, you must take the motorway and head toward Callosa d´Ensarria.
You can visit the “Fonts del Algar” (Algar Springs), with its famous
waterfall, as well as the environmental museum. One shouldn’t leave
before tasting its chief crop: hawthorn fruit. After lunch you can
continue on to Guadalest. You can visit the Castle Fortress, the
reservoir of Guadalest Valley, as well as the municipality’s different
museums (miniatures, ethnography, Moors and Christians, etc.). You
can enjoy its wide range of home-made items, especially its bolillos
(crochet). Leaving Guadalest towards Benimantell, you will soon
see the entrance to “Arca de Noë” (Animals rescue center).

- CALPE – ALTEA – BENIDORM
Depart from Moraira via the coast road to Calpe, where you can visit
the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park and the fishing port. From the Avda.
de Ejércitos Españoles, you will be able to see the salt works area,
its flora and fauna. From there, you will make your way down the 332
national road to Altea, where you can peruse its old quarter, taking
advantage of its panoramic viewpoints from which the entire bay can
be seen. You can enjoy a tasty lunch at one of the restaurants along
the waterfront. In the afternoon you can continue on to Benidorm,
where, in addition to shopping, you can spend time visiting the remains
of the fort, the Castle , the old quarter and l´Aigüera Park. At Sierra
Helada, one of its most picturesque landscapes, you will find two
parks that are guaranteed to delight the little ones: Mundomar (Shows
park) and Aqualandia (Water park). There is also the attraction of
“TERRA MITICA” Fun Fair situated between Benidorm and Finestrat (Recommended
minimum one day to visit this park).

TEULADA
- BENISSA – JALON – BERNIA
From Teulada, 5 km. down the 332 national road, heading towards Alicante,
you will come to Benissa. Here you can visit its noted “Purísima Xiqueta”
Church, and stroll around the old quarter to the Lonja (Old commercial
centre). At one Km from Benissa towards Calpe you can take the right-hand
fork towards to Jalón/Xaló , and turn away to “PINOS” on the left.
You continue on towards the Bernia mountain range, this winding road
(8 Km.) will lead you to the Pinos hamlet where you can visit The
Hermitage of Santa Barbara. You can continue towards the Sierra Bernia,
and at 7 Km. You find a T junction, where take the left fork . There
you can leave the car and start a walking trip. At few meters you
find a new fork where: The right fork will take you to the “Fort de
Bernia” (the Bernia Fort) built by Felipe II ( 1´55 Hr. walking).
(PR/V-7 Bernia) The left fork will take you to the “font de Bernia”
(fountain) and to the “Forrat” (1 Hr.) where it is possible to pass
through the hole “Forrat” of the mountain and you will see framed
the view of the Marina Alta region. Remember you will need walking
boots, hat and water to undertake this trip. You can come back through
Jalón (15Km.) , where are Santa María Church and Santo Domingo Hermitage).
This area, known as Pop Valley, offers the visitor local cuisine that
features cured meats and almond-honey sweets.

TEULADA
- PARCENT – COLL DE RATES – TARBENA – BOLULLA – ALTEA LA VIEJA.
From Teulada, you take the 332 national road and head towards Calpe.
Once past Benissa, you will . turn away to Jalón/Xaló and continue
to Parcent (Church of the Holy Virgin and the house where Gabriel
Miró lived). Crossing the fertile Pop Valley, you ascend to “Coll
de Rates”, where you can enjoy panoramic views that are unique. This
road takes you to Tárbena, where you should take the opportunity to
eat in one of its traditional restaurants. You can visit its parochial
church and Moorish dwellings. You return by way of Bolulla (13th-century
parochial church), Callosa d´ensarria (Ethnological Museum) and “Altea
La Vella”. |
