The Torre del Cap d'Or is erected at the highest part of this cape, dominating the beach of El Portet. It is part of the deployement of vigilance recommended by the engineer Antonelli to the king Felipe II, in order to warn and defend the village from the Berber attacks. It has a circular floor 26 metres of perimeter and 11 meter high. If is decorated with protrusions having a young deer at the east side.The interior is massive and could only be acceded through rope ladders that were launched from the top. |
