Pastahouse Moraira - La piccola Trattoria

Travelling from Calpe, we are located just outside Moraira by the new park leading to the sea: you will find us in the small parade of shops and offices called "Edificio Kristalmar" - The Pastahouse.

During the summer months we have outside seating and remain open until late.

Those who are familiar with the classic Italian Trattoria; its simple Italian setup and "O mamma mia"ambience, its nice people and friendly service, will feel at home at the Pastahouse, which is owned and run by Elisa and Rodolfo.

The Pastahouse People
Come from the Piemont region, near Asti in Italy.
Elisa, the boss and chef, has many years' culinary experience from running a Trattoria restaurant in Italy, and also as a member of the F.I.C. association of professional Italian chefs. Rodolfo is responsible for service, wines, purchase, quality control and production of the homemade pastas.
Both Elisa and Rodolfo are members of the Italian Slow Food movement, which campaigns for the continuance of the traditional Italian kitchen. Pasta has played a large part in the life of Italians for over 2,000 years. As well as being a good source of nourishment, the type and method of preparation varies not only from season to season but also throughout the regions. Pasta is regarded as a part of the Italian philisophy. Since its opening in 2002, the Pastahouse strives to bring some of the "Pasta Philisophy" to all its customers.
